Community-Hosted Outreach Events Scheduled for April and May:
- April 8 We hope you have had a chance to attend one of our educational events about the eclipse. We encourage everyone to safely enjoy the Total Solar Eclipse today! Our club does not have a public event scheduled today; like you, we hope to enjoy this opportunity firsthand!
- May 17 Birch Grove University Prep and Montessori School hosts the Oakland Astronomy Club tonight at their annual science fair.
- May 25-26 Yes, it will soon be time for the Rochester Area Heritage Days Festival and the Oakland Astronomy Club will, weather permitting, share live views of our favorite star using safe, high-end solar telescopes. We will have games for the young and old, education stations, and more. Be sure to visit us at Rochester Municipal Park.
